This stunning piece is a 1960’S vintage Asian inspired medallion pendant. The Coral Deity, Quan Yin, is hand carved natural coral representing a wise figure. The background depicts a textured solid gold courtyard containing a traditional pagoda house, bridge, and flowering tree branch. The piece is beautifully embellished with small prong-set pink sapphires simulating blossoms, alongside an opal cabochon sky element and various other semi-precious stones.
The reverse side of this medallion features a dragon and phoenix motif with colored gemstones. The design depicts a Chinese dragon, a symbol of power and good fortune, alongside a phoenix, representing grace and high virtue. The colored jewels are pink and blue sapphires.
This creation is crafted in 14 Karat Yellow Gold and is accompanied by a foxtail chain featuring a braided design, measuring 18 inches. The necklace weighs 36.5 grams.
