Vintage Starburst Cluster Diamond Ring

Vintage Starburst Cluster Diamond Ring
This vintage 1950s cocktail ring features a tiered cluster of round brilliant diamonds set in 14 karat white gold, forming a dramatic dome or “firework” starburst design. This highly detailed, multi-layered design was immensely popular from the 1950s through the 1970s. Jewelers during this mid-century period focused heavily on creating glamorous, light-catching statements for evening wear. It features an elevated white gold architecture where individual wire prongs ranch out at tiered elevations. This makes the diamonds appear grouped together like a celestial burst, maximizing sparkle. A larger central round cut diamond serves as the focal point. The diamonds have a total carat weight of 1.16 carats with a high quality SI1/SI2 clarity and H-I color. The ring is currently a size 6 but can be sized accordingly. The ring is crafted in 14 karat white gold.
